Here are some of our commonly asked questions
Is it possible for me to select a specific color for my container?
Many customers prefer to choose the color of their containers, and while this is often possible, it is not guaranteed. Typically, the first container available at the intermodal depot is provided. If you are ordering multiple containers, there may be more flexibility in color options. Generally, one-trip containers are tan or beige in color.
Can I view the container before making a purchase?
Unfortunately, customers are not allowed to visit the depots for liability reasons. All containers are thoroughly inspected before delivery, and we recommend customers inspect the container upon delivery.
If you opt to pick up your container, you will receive a release number and depot information.
How much space is required for container delivery?
It is advisable to measure your property before ordering a container to ensure it will fit. Most deliveries are made using pick-up trucks and 40ft tilt bed trailers, so you will need approximately 100-120ft of space for a 40ft container and 80-100ft of space for a 20ft container. Additionally, a 10ft width and 14ft height clearance are necessary for the truck to access your property.
What does it mean to neutralize a shipping container?
Neutralizing a shipping container involves removing or covering elements such as logos, prefix codes, and stamps to disassociate the container from its previous owner.
How can I address difficulties with opening container doors?
Ensure the ground is leveled before delivery to prevent door issues. Industrial lubricants can help with door operation, and placing wood blocks under the door frame can aid in resolving door problems.
What if my container has a strong odor?
Ventilating the container by leaving the doors open overnight can help eliminate odors. Industrial-strength odor neutralizers are also available at hardware stores.
